An important news item on jobs coming through is that Porsche is looking to create around 1,000 extra jobs in Germany by the year 2015. About 500 people will be needed for the production of Porche's new compact SUV model (codenamed 'Cajun') which will go on sale in 2013 and will most likely be produced at Leipzig. Another 500 or so, mostly engineers, will ultimately be needed at the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach, near Stuttgart.
