ROGER
PHILLIPS
(Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development)
Roger
has immense commercial experience but takes a pragmatic, hands-on approach to
people and organisational development issues. He
is recognised for his encyclopaedic knowledge of motor racing and his proven
business leadership and training skills.
He has been
involved in recruitment and managing people at the strategic level for over 30
years, much of it at Board level, and has held personnel and training
responsibilities in organisations with perceptible operational values and where
exceeding customer expectations has been paramount. He is a former Director of
such companies as B & Q plc, Toys ‘R’ Us (UK) Ltd, and C & J Clark,
and is a former Chief Executive of Somerset Training and Enterprise Council
(TEC) and Business Link – one of the most innovative such organisations in the
UK.
Roger
holds a degree from Oxford in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and has a
Diploma in Personnel Management.
He
has been an active Member of the Employment Tribunals in England & Wales
since 1989.
