"Mint & Boxed" Catalogues
The Mint & Boxed Company had a brief life in the late eighties and early nineties. Based in Hendon, North London, the Company dealt in "antique and collectable toys" but went bust after only a few years. Some of the prices quoted by the firm were very high and reflected the huge boom in the 1988/91 era for classic cars and automobilia of all shapes and sizes.
These four 60-page full-colour catalogues cover the Autumn/Winter 1988, Summer 1989, Winter/Spring '89/'90 and Summer 1990 "seasons" and usually feature European and Japanese tinplate toys and models by Dinky, Corgi, Spot-On, Matchbox, Crescent, Marklin, etc.
This copy of the '88 Catalogue has some page duplication and featured a German Marklin model "JMPERATOR" river-boat priced at GBP£125,000!
Each of these Catalogues is in "as new" condition and each is priced at GBP£50 - or GBP£175 for the four.
