Mercedes-Benz period items from 1958
This package consists of two items from the Mercedes-Benz stand at the London Motor Show in 1958.The first is a 24-page small coloured "full range" leaflet containing all the Daimler-Benz passenger cars of the time - in excellent condition with just a set of initials and 1958-9 inked on to the cover. The publication contains descriptions and coloured drawing profiles of the 180/180D, 190/190D, 219, 220S/220SE (saloon, convertible and coupe), 300 Automatic ("a splendid experience"), 190 SL and 300 SL (only the roadster being illustrated). There is also a good black and white shot of the assembly hall in the Sindelfingen plant.
The second document is a single-sheet coloured leaflet (with centre crease and some ink marks) for the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupe - not the gullwing but the roadster with a hard-top. "Daimler-Benz presents Germany's most powerful and fastest production car; at the same time one of the most highly bred and obedient utility vehicles known to the world" (!).
Good period items.
